• I started my reflections journey with Lord Dattatreya (http://reflections001.blogspot.com)
• Dattatreya gained supreme truth by observing 24 simple things in the nature.
• Another personality impresses me for his observation on paradoxes, to find Great truth is Einstein.
• In this reflection, we share simple description of Einstein’s gravity theory & where it is different from Newton’s gravitational laws.
• These rules are as simple as: a=b, b=c so a=c.

Newton says....Light can't bend
• We feel Inertial Mass, in accelerating objects (jerk we feel at flight take-off)
• We feel Gravitational Mass on earth, which make everything fall down.
• Newton’s two theories are about these two masses. Newton said both these masses are same.
• As light has no mass, hence light should not be affected by gravity.

Einstein said...Light will bend!
• Consider a room stationary on earth. Objects in this room will fall down due to gravity.
• Consider other room accelerating in space. Objects in this room will fall due to inertia.
• A light beam in inertial room will strike opposite wall slightly lower than starting level. Thus light is affected by inertial force.
• As inertial and gravitational forces are same, light must be affected by gravitational force.
• This lead to new definition of gravity for heavy mass.

Why light bends? Why planet doesn't collide with sun?
• Consider an elastic rubber sheet (plane). If we place a big mass object (A) on it, the sheet will deflect in curvature around A (like funnel).
• Another small mass object (B) is kept on sheet, and given motion. While passing the curvature, the object will be deflected towards A. But it will not directly fall on A. Instead it will circle around A.
• We are bounded by four dimensions (3 space dimensions & time). Consider all objects are on space- time (four dimensions) plane. Due to heavy mass, the plane gets curvature. This curvature is gravity as per Einstein.
• Any object passing the curvature will be deflected towards it.
Objects with slow speed will fall on it (Like comets), Objects in particular moderate motion will cancel the gravitational force (like planet) and will keep rotating around it. Light (highest motion) will be slightly deflected towards sun, changing light path.

What is black hole?
Now consider the sun's mass increases causing high gravitational force. This is so high, that it overcomes light speed. Then.... light will be sucked inside the sun….This is called black hole.
